Load shedding is something which is implemented equitably in order to ensure the fair rotation of load which shedds to all customers throughout the day. When we talk about ekurhuleni load shedding it basically sheds those areas that are supplied by the municipality. Those are the ones which are Ekso which mainly refers to the load shedding schedules for all the stages.
There are mainly three stages, the load shedding ekurhuleni helps to avoid customers from being affected at the same time of the day when the shedding is implemented.
Distinguishing Between Different Stages of Ekurhuleni Load shedding Schedule!

Stage 3: This stage is divided into number of blocks particularly for seven days of the week. Through this, ekurhuleni load shedding covers the area under blocks of 17, 18, 19 and 20 in a form that indicates for the load shedding schedule. Customers are mainly encouraged to go through the four blocks for a reason, to identify under which block their areas fall, including the time they will experience load shedding.
Residents are often asked to read the schedule as follows:
- Day of the week,
- Block number
- Time of the day.
Stage 4: Lastly, shedding this, one needs to shed at least 4000MW to keep the national grid far from collapsing. This stage is considered to be as bad as it gets into the terms of shedding, starting with the unscheduled power cuts and outside of schedule whenever it is required. This means that your area must be hit by blackouts at any time without any warning. Stage 4 load shedding is typically the final option for Eskom to prevent a national blackout. Over time, the load shedding stages have been amended to create less impact for various users.
